Seane Corn is a National Yoga Ambassador and a renowned
yoga instructor. Corn’s yoga career began in the late 1980’s in New York City, where she started a Jivamukta yoga studio with friends. Later, she relocated to Los Angeles and studied at Yoga Works with famed yoga instructors
Rodney Yee and Richard Freeman.
Corn is drawn to the spiritual aspects of yoga and incorporates this tradition into her yoga practice. Her style of yoga is continually evolving and is a mixture of Vinyasa, or
“flow” yoga, in conjunction with prayer.
Corn believes that yoga can become a divine ritual for individuals and is a creative practice that can be used as a medium for self expression. She believes that the integration of mind, body, breath and meditative awareness reminds people that everything is connected and all is one. Corn also believes that bringing the mind and body together is intuitive to the human condition. She has studied chakras extensively and strives to help people unblock their energy channels and open up their minds and bodies for optimum health and well-being.
Corn recently released a series of videos called Vinyasa Flow Yoga: Uniting Movement and Breath and Vinyasa Flow Yoga: The Body and Beyond. She has been featured in Allure, Self and Glamour and is one of the most sought-after yoga instructors in the United States. Corn currently travels to retreats around the globe and also teaches workshops and classes in Santa Monica, CA.
She is involved with many charitable organizations and is a co-founder of the Off the Mat, Into the World campaign which aims to motivate and guide people to find ways to be active in their local and global communities. Corn also created a yoga program at a California shelter that houses and educates former teenage prostitutes. She also helps raise funds, spread national awareness and provide services that support YouthAIDS.
