diapers

For those of you just finding out you are pregnant or have known that you are about to have a baby, think really hard about stocking up now. For those of you that have already had a baby or two what do you wish you knew about diapers whether it be cloth or disposable that you didn’t know then?

150px-PullupsgirlboxoldI have four children, the youngest (age 1) is learning about the potty chair. This means I’ve went through TONS of diapers, entire rooms could’ve been filled with how many diapers you go through with four children. Hundreds and thousands of dollars spent on the little thing that keeps the pee and poop in.

The one thing I wish I did before giving birth…..stockpiling on diapers and wipes. So I’m going to give you a few links of people that have actually done this and some tips.

Tips:

- Find out where the sale on diapers are and head to those.

- use coupons for diapers, this may only reduce the price by a dollar or two but when you hit up a sale and add the coupon you save even more.

- look for good deals.

b_22684_LUV_JP1 A few stores I like to shop when getting my diaper deals are the following: CVS, Walgreens, Price Chopper, Hyvee and of course Walmart. Where do you shop for bargains?

This weeks deals:

Walgreens $9.49 plus $2 register rewards

CVS $13.99 Huggies & Pampers megapacks (-2 for over $10 order)

Target $18.99 Huggies

Sometimes you can even find diapers in clearance. I found the Huggies pull-ups 2t marked down at $2, I grabbed two just in case. Hey, I’m hoping he’ll be out of them in a few months but just in case I won’t have to buy full price later. Always check the clearance rack, you never know what you’ll find. One lady found Huggies at her CVS for $5.75.

Sites that Mention Deals:

Diaper Deals with Bargain Hunting Moms -Diapers.com has a Newborn Diaper Sale with their own little gift packs. These are so cute and actually a great way to keep all the necessary things together for the baby.

My Precious Pennies’ Stockpile of Diapers- She has already started her stockpile and as you can see she has a variety of diapers that she found great deals on. In the pic you will see Luvs, Huggies and many others. She’s also stocking up on wipes.

Baby CHeapskate finds the Best Diaper Deals for the Week- all types of tips, coupons on everything from diapers, wipes, creams to formula. Check out the articles here. Lots of savings to be found on this site.

What Happened to Caylee Anthony?

What happened to the missing 2-year-old girl, Caylee Anthony? A few weeks back I first heard of this “missing girl” through Super Nanny Rules. For a while now I thought of two things, either little Caylee’s mom, Robin Meade, sold her daughter on the black market or killed her.

From the beginning Robin’s story never made any sense, even changing it up from time to time. She was recently bailed out of jail on a $500,000 bail, but she has yet to help in the search for her little girl. Is there are reason she isn’t looking?

New documents show that there was proof that a decomposing body was in the trunk of her car. Could this have been her daughter? If so what happened? More documents that have been uncovered showed that she never wanted her little girl Caylee and that it was in fact her own mother that convinced her to keep her. Robin had been looking at adopting Caylee out.

Right now it seems the only way anyone will ever find Caylee or her body is if her mother starts speaking. Robin wrote a poem only days before she reported her daughter as missing, which really makes one wonder.

“What is given, Can be taken away. Everyone lies. Everyone dies.”

Attempted Baby Stealer Gets 8 Years

Remember the story of the two Missouri ladies that kidnapped a very pregnant woman and brought her to a hotel just so they could cut her baby out of her womb? Well she did manage to escape and when she did the two gals were caught, one of which was just sentenced this week.

Lauren Gash plead guilty last week and was sentenced to 8 years in prison. While I’m sure this puts a smile on Amanda Culley, the victim’s face, it sure does make some wonder. Yes, it is true she did not succeed at taking the baby, but what if she had? The good news is no one will have to worry about Lauren for a long while.

By the way, Amanda did end up having her little boy right after the event took place and he’s been doing just fine.

Climbing the Stairs

Little A is what I’ve always said will be my adventure boy and he’s proved this every step of the way. From getting that first tooth to grow through at less than 2 months old to wanting to learn the potty at one. We are still working on that last part. But his newest thing seems to be trying to climb my stairs. Before everyone sends warnings to me I’m aware it is dangerous to let your toddler climb stairs, one reason I never sleep.

No on a more serious note, we like to hang out in the toy room. (picture above) Course he is only content to sit by the bottom step and crash the hot wheels together there, don’t ask me why he just likes it. Can anyone explain the mind of a toddler? No, so we just let it be. While he is happily playing he looks up several times to make sure I’m still there. Now if he catches me looking at him he gets this little devilish grin and inches to the top of the bottom stair. I look and go back to my business, glance back up and he’s inched to the second one. Now is when the game begins, as he inches I say no, but he goes another and I get closer. Before you know it he’s trying as fast as he can to get up and I’m at the bottom waiting for the fall. He doesn’t fall but still, I’m there ready to catch him. Now if he could just learn to get back down, we’d be doing great.

How many of you have a sneaker like this? When did your child learn the stairs? Any tips, besides the gate I do have one of those but those are at the very top. This video is not of him but it was one I found on Youtube. While it may not be as funny as I had hoped, but it is cute.

Pregnant Officer Gets Proper Funeral
By: Babylune    2 days 3 hours 35 minutes ago

The pregnant traffic officer that was first hit by a truck and then ran over by the school bus was given a proper funeral this week. The entire block ran to her aid when they saw the bus go over her, they even lifted it up in an attempt to save her, hours later she would die. Course not before a quick c-section to save her baby, but she’d never get to meet him.

Baby Sean would soon pass on after several days in ICU. Breaking his father’s heart once more.  This little man tried to hold on, but he just couldn’t, he was born at 3lbs 6oz and put on a ventilator. His mother tried everything the moments before she was hit. It was a few short seconds, she shielded her belly when she saw the truck coming at her but she was thrown where she stood. This wasn’t the first time she had tried to be a hero, without even trying. Her husband needed a kidney early in their marriage, in which she donated her own.

At the funeral they placed Donnette Sanz in a white outfit with her baby in her arms/across her chest. Over 1000 police officers and firefighters attended the funeral, out of 2,600, which is pretty good for a town of this size. No one ever once complained about her and hundreds attended the funeral, that barely knew her. She opened up the hearts of a town, that had been quiet for so long.
