HYDRATE: Keep a never-ending supply of water at your desk
at work or wherever you spend most of your time. For a little
pampering pick-me-up, add a little cucumber, lemon, orange, or
grapefruit to still or sparkling water. Be extra diligent while
traveling —long plane rides can deplete you of moisture. Keep
water, a hydrating mist, and your favorite moisturizer handy and
avoid dehydrators like alcohol and caffeine.
DETOXIFICATION: From fasting to going raw to cleansing
your body with enemas and colonics, there are tons of ways to
do some bodily “spring cleaning.” Cleansing assists in removing
toxins and impurities from the body and helps reveal your inner
glow. Consider a social and emotional cleanse as well. Reduce
time spent with negative, naysaying friends and surround
yourself instead with predominantly supportive, positive people.
BEAUTY SLEEP: Fatigue is one of the biggest contributors
to overeating, over-caffeinating, and just unhealthy living
overall. Give the body a chance to restore itself by consistently
getting a good night’s rest.
HEALTHY FOODS: Eating well is one of the best ways to be
beautiful. Focus on a varied diet full of whole foods and
vegetables. Steer clear of processed foods, flours, and refined
sugars. Make sure to include a good dose of healthy fats like
olive oil, avocados, and nuts (walnuts, cashews, almonds, pine
nuts) as well as vitamins A, C, B (especially B6, B12, folic acid)
and nutrients.
SELF-ESTEEM: The most attractive people hold their heads
high and exude a confidence that’s magnetic. Cultivate such
confidence by becoming more self-aware. Are you quick to
criticize yourself and others? Are most of your comments
negative or positive? Lavish yourself with a little praise when
you’ve done a good job, think positively before you speak, and
stand up tall.
